Who we are
This website is operated by EchoPoint IT Services, an IT consulting and support business based in Austin, Texas. In this policy, “we,” “us” and “our” refer to EchoPoint IT Services.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use our contact form, we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, and optionally your company name, phone number, and the message you write. If you call, text or email us, we receive your phone number or email address and whatever you choose to tell us.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly all websites, our web server keeps standard technical logs, including IP address, date and time, the page requested, and browser type. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working, and to prevent abuse such as spam. Your IP address is also included with contact form submissions for the same reason.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and provide the consultation or services you ask about
- To send a one-time email confirming we received your message
- To keep our website secure and protect it from spam and abuse
We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not use your information for marketing without your permission.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run this website and communicate with you, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Our email provider, which delivers contact form messages to us
- Our hosting and network providers
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our business, clients or others.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages are kept in our email for as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of our business relationship. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security purposes. If you would like us to delete your messages, just ask.
How we protect it
As an IT security business, we take this seriously. The site is served over encrypted HTTPS, the contact form runs on hardened, minimal infrastructure, and access to submitted information is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we use reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, including under Texas law, you may have additional rights over your personal data. To make a request, contact us using any of the methods below. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children’s privacy
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Links to other websites
Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
