VMware to XCP-ng Migration
VMware to XCP-ng migration
Since Broadcom acquired VMware, licensing has moved to subscription bundles, and many small and mid-size businesses now face steep price increases. XCP-ng with Xen Orchestra is a mature, open-source alternative, and we can move you there with a tested plan. Available remotely anywhere in the U.S.

Frequently asked questions
Is XCP-ng ready for production?
Yes. XCP-ng is built on the long-established Xen hypervisor, is managed with Xen Orchestra and has commercial support available from Vates, the company behind it.
How much downtime should we expect?
Each VM has a short outage during its cutover, typically scheduled after hours. Migrations are done in planned batches so the business keeps running.
Can the migration be done remotely?
Yes. Most of the work can be done remotely for businesses anywhere in the United States, with on-site help available in the Austin area.
Is XCP-ng the only VMware alternative?
No. Proxmox VE and Hyper-V are also options. We help you choose the platform that best fits your hardware, skills and budget.
